Westeros world will start a 2nd season this weekend!
You will be able to play all Events that follow Game of Thrones plot.
The quests will be larger and more dynamic, and sometimes very challenging!
Since next Glory round:
1. We start Event 1, event description will be posted separately
2. AI factions will be open for players
3. Rat faction will become “The Free Folk”
4. Snake faction will become “House Frey of the Twins”
5. Pig faction will become “House Bolton of the Dreadfort”
6. Wolf faction will become “House Greyjoy of the Pyke” and join House 8. House 8 will be restored in Glory race
7. 7 new Anchors on the map: Each AI characters gets his own Anchor
8. All AI characters will spawn large number of new castles. Night King in Lands of always winter, Lannisters in Westerlands, Stannis in Stormlands, Daenerys in Essos.
World map changes:
1. Markets will be reset
2. Disease will be removed from all parishes
3. Wolf lairs and Bandit camps will be removed from all parishes
4. All votes will be reset
5. Flags will be reset
6. Resource Stashes will be respawned

A diversionary tactic. The Army of the West marches on the Black Gate
to draw Sauron's attention and forces away from Frodo and Sam,
who are attempting to destroy the One Ring!

Good team objective:

The plot:
The light dwindles. The hope of Men flickers like a dying ember.
Sauron's fury is unleashed. His endless legions march. They come with all their might.
And at the heart of Gondor, the City of Kings, a final, desperate stand is about to begin.
Good team objective:
Destroy all H10 and H17 (Witch-king) castles in Kingdom of Gondor
Evil team objective:
Destroy all Gondor castles in Kingdom of Gondor
or
Take control of Minas Tirith capital (vote a player or evil AI character)
Rewards:

The plot:
Saruman has made an alliance with Sauron.
Sauron ordered him to open a second front against Gondor.
Isengard army numbers 10,000 of Uruk-hai orcs and Dunland men.
They march to Helms Deep to destroy Rohan
Good team objective:
Destroy all Saruman castles before all Rohan castles are destroyed
Evil team objective:
Destroy all Rohan castles before all Saruman castles are destroyed
Both teams can fortify friendly AI castles by sending them pitch and repair them by sending them stone.
Rewards:
Extra wheel spins for defeating the AI castles in Rohan, Isengard and Dunland.
1.000.000 glory points for the winner House.
What happens if the Good team wins:
Rohan will aid Gondor during Event 3
What happens if the Evil team wins:
Saruman will capture the rear part of Gondor and join House 10

Ramsay Snow becomes Ramsay Bolton. Supported by Lannisters, House Bolton is declared as Warden of The North and occupies Winterfell

Stannis Baratheon prepares to march his army from The Wall down south to capture Winterfell and reclaim The North.
However, the weather turns for the worse and a snowstorm delays his army
They are also running out of food, as they cannot open the supply lines until the snow clears
Event conditions:
Bad weather is more likely to happen
Farms produce less food
All food is gone from markets - market prices are reset to 150
Armies move slower on the map, as there is a bad weather
Capital troops are 50% cheaper
Gold collected by capitals is doubled (you pay 10k, the parish gets 20k)
Objective: defeat Ramsay Bolton represented by The Pig and The Wolf in The North.
Hurry up as the Army of the Dead approaches from beyond the Wall!

He needed a path south to Kings Landing held by Lannisters.
The shortest way is through The Twins fortress held by Frey family.
The Twins is a bridge over the river.
Starks and Frey planned a wedding to have an alliance.
Tywin Lannister writes letters arranging the Frey alliance.
He offered Freys to get Riverrun and in return they must betray Stark
Roose Bolton also joins this conspiracy as he wants the North for himself.
Rains of Castamere (click to play the video) is a Lannisters song which was used as a signal to action - kill Robb Stark and his mother Catelyn.
Event Objective:
Win the current Glory round and keep at least one of Westeros kingships till end of the round

Master of Whisperes reports that Stannis Baratheon hosts a council and
prepares a letter to be distributed throughout
the Seven Kingdoms. He has learned from Eddard Stark that Joffrey Baratheon
is a bastard born of incest between Cersei Lannister and her brother Jaime
rather than Robert Baratheon's true heir. Stannis is, therefore, the rightful
heir and plans to pursue his claims to the throne
Stannis arrives with a force superior to the defenders of King's Landing in
both ships and soldiers, and attempts to take the city in the massive Battle
of the Blackwater. He is sailing into the harbor not aware that Tyrion Lannister
prepares a trap using wildfire
New game mechanics:
1. The Anchor can now send attacks, not only take charters
2. Ships animation is applied for all Anchors located on an island (requires game update v142)
3. You can now send pitch to a friendly AI and it will be used to put oil pots inside their castles. 200 pitch = 1 oil pot
Quest objective: Send pitch to Lannisters' castles in the Kings Landing to strengthen their defenses before Stannis' fleet invades the kingdom. The amount should be sufficient to withstand the attack.

Short description: New characters' first conquest
Master of Whisperers reports:
Daenerys travels east (Norvos, Qohor, Vaes Dothrak) with her khalasar.
Lannisters take over Westerlands.
Baratheon House takes over Crownlands.
Night King grows his numbers by capturing all other AIs in Land of always winter.
If the new kingdoms succeed, The Rat, Snake, Pig and Wolf will lose major part of Glory points.
We also expect them to send reinforcements to protect The Wall from the wildlings as the Winter is Coming!
Our Quest is to clear The Rat, Snake, Pig and Wolf in Westerlands, Crownlands, Pentos, Norvos, Qohor and Vaes Dothrak
Rewards: 300.000 Glory Points for Human house
300 castles (100 from Lannisters, 100 from Baratheon, 100 from Targaryen) will be sent to guard The Wall
The quest ends on Friday 9th. And that's when Event II starts!

New world will be available tomorrow - Thursday 28th September
The world starts with ~40.000 AI castles placed just like in the first Stronghold Campaign
Rat's faction will occupy House 2 and wear orange colour
Snake's faction will occupy House 3 and wear yellow colour
Pig's faction will occupy House 1 and wear red colour
Wolf's faction will occupy House 10 and wear black colour
Players will start in the Cornwall county similarly to campaign scenario.
Ireland and Scotland were not present in the campaign map. These counties will have no charters and spawn no flags.
Players should purge AI in the same sequence as in the campaign for full synchronisation. This will trigger the events present in the campaign - automatic liberation of certain Snake, Pig and Wolf counties in the last episodes.
Important: this world uses different engine so don't hesitate to report problems.

We have many questions, suggestions and plans for these projects, but limited capabilities due to the situation.
Our team is still in a warring country (Ukraine), the work is slowed down by air raid alerts, electricity shutdowns and internet disconnections.

1. shk bot
Bot for official shk is being tested at private AI world first.
This way we reduce risk for our players.
If you wish to speed up this process, please come to this world to help testing the bot here.
Right now we have an improvement for Donate tab in test
2. Combat Simulator with Castle Designer
It simulates the battle to know the result without spending troops.
It allows to simulate timed attacks, use all castle cards, specify troops research levels and test against standard AI castles.
We have fixed all errors to get 100% precise simulation.
You can save castle design and attack formation.
This is currently a free feature.
It's offered inside of our custom game client that connects to our private AI world.
You need to create an account and download the custom game client to use Simulator.
3. Village Designer
It allows to create village layout for any village type.
Buildings can be placed instantly and for free. Researches are not needed.
You can save resulting layout, share it with others or download the layouts we already have.
This is currently a free feature.
It's offered inside of our custom game client that connects to our private AI world.
You need to create an account and download the custom game client to use Simulator.
4. Private AI game world
It's our fan made game world with Island Warfare map.
It's not related to game worlds provided by firefly.
We code it ourselves and it has many features not present in classic shk, such as pillaging of AI, capture AI village with buildings, AI excomm/absolution, guild levels of 7th age give bonus after deletion.
It's missing some standard features like Quests, but we'll add them too.
The world doesn't end untill all players decide to restart and choose new map.
Our database is not connected to firefly, you will need to create a new account.
Collected cards and card packs will not appear in classic shk.
We have no intention to steal players from firefly. Our team consists mostly from players that already left firefly servers.

We worked in a ukrainian city occupied by russian troops during last 8,5 months.
2 weeks ago it was successfully liberated by Ukrainian army.
All infrastructure has been destroyed by russians upon their retreat.
There was no electricity, no water, no heating, no internet or mobile network. We kept working with You thanks to Starlink stations and generators

Our Private Server has unlocked more features related to Vassals.
The following features are enabled:
- new Send attack from vassal
- new Cancel attack sent from vassal
- new Vassals Overview and Manage Vassal's Troops screens will consider the attacking troops as well
- new Capture of liege lord's village makes you the owner of the attacking vassal army
- new Raze or Capture of vassal village stops the outgoing troops
- new Breaking of vassalage also stops the outgoing troops
Bugs are fixed:
- new In specific scenerios the Reinforcements were removed from the castle when an attack is launched
- new In specific scenerios the defender received "Village lost" report although the attacker couldn't Capture more villages

Our Private Server has unlocked more features related to Vassals.
The following features already enabled:

Part 2:
- new Manage Vassal's Troops screen
- new Send troops to vassal
- new Cancel sending troops
- new Cancelled troops will return to liege lord's village if the vassalage is broken
- fix Fix army speed for Capital support and for Reinforcements (accidently used captain army speed) Part 3:
- new Display Liege lord's troops in your castle screen
- new Add Liege lord's troops into your castle
- new Process Liege lord's troops being killed during the defence of your castle
Note 1: In my implementation the "Vassals Overview" screen considers the troops placed in vassal's castle too.

Our Private Server now supports Vassals.
All players may now:
- new Use Vassals and Vassals Overview screens
- new Send Vassal requests
- new Cancel Vassal requests
- new Accept Vassal requests
- new Decline Vassal requests
- new Break Vassalage
- new Break From Liege Lord
- new Get all related Reports
Note 1: Raze, Capture and Abandon of a village will trigger the corresponding processing of Vassals.
Note 2: Accepting a liege lord offer will not break You from current liege lord if You have one.
Note 3: If You try to rank up to the same rank as your liege lord, you will get a warning message that requires to break vassalage first.
Note 4: Sending troops to the vassal and honour bonus will be added later as separate updates.

An upgrade of AI opponents is released.
Note: You will be prompted to update game version.

Features:
- new AI villages will have an icon size corresponding to their strength
- new AI players get their user profiles, factions and house
- new AI players begin to vote themselves in parish, county, province and country capitals
- new AI house will gain glory points
- new AI will get different research levels for their castles
- new AI will be able to play cards
- new AI attacks on human players support is added to combat engine (actual attacks will not begin yet)
- new Unlock faster attacks in Predator module!
- new Desperate Defense card will be shown in the report if less than 10 cards are in play. Otherwise it'll take effect, but won't be shown in the report.
- new Desperate Defense card will not be used if an attack made no damage.
- new "Server downtime" warning messages will be displayed for all future updates after this update
- new Automatic selection of new leading faction if the current leader has left the house

A better solution would to get a good anti-virus software and disable Windows Defender completely

Dear players,
it is common that Windows Defender deletes the newly downloaded "StrongholdKingdoms.exe" and a game fails to start.
Long-term solution is to use a custom anti-virus program that allows to add this file to exceptions.
Short-term solution is to download an installation package from download page and run installation to get new "StrongholdKingdoms.exe"

Hello everyone!
In case if situation with Windows Defender repeats and your StrongholdKingdoms.exe gets deleted, you may now run our updater.exe to redownload the exe file.
Location in Windows 10 is:
c:\ProgramData\Firefly Studios\Stronghold Kingdoms\2.0.37.4\updater.exe
You would still need to add the file to "white list" of Windows Defender:

Dear subscribers,
in this guide I will tell you about all the ways to change your MAC address in case You got banned for any reason.
MAC - media access control. It is a unique code of your device (computer/laptop/smartphone/wi-fi router etc).
This code is sent to SHK server when you press "Login" button on the login screen.
If it matches for 2 accounts - they can be considered an alt accounts of the same person and get banned.
There are several ways to change them:
1. Buy another computer/laptop
Pros:
+works permanently
+no additional software as new device will have it's own MAC address
Cons:
-very expensive
-requires to transport all your files and settings to a new computer
-doesn't work for multiple accounts as you will need a separate computer for every SHK account
2. Create virtual computers using VMware Workstation or other software
Pros:
+it's free
+works for multiple accounts
Cons:
-requires to install and study that software
-requires to have sufficient amount of memory in your phisical computer
3. Change MAC address of your computer using 3rd party software
Pros:
+it's free
Cons:
-not handy for multiple accounts because You will have to remember to change the MAC before every login
-requires to search and install 3rd part software (and learn how it works)
-your may accidently forget to run that software before logging in and thus expose your account once and for all
4. Use Advanced Login Options of the Bot
Pros:
+it's free
+works for multiple accounts
+doesn't require to search and install 3rd part software
Cons:
-your may accidently forget to run that software before logging in and thus expose your account once and for all
All these methods work, but as you can see - the amount of hussle is very different.

the fact that Bot allows to launch 2+ game windows doesn't mean you should regularly do so.
SHK can see 2+ active connections and decide that you use 3rd party software to do so.

in this guide I will tell you about all the ways to change your IP address in case You got banned for any reason:
1. Call Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and ask to change the IP address.
Pros:
+requires no additional software
+does not slow down internet speed
+works permanently
+should be free
+best option if you always play with only 1 account
Cons:
-can't be used too often as ISP support will get annoyed or even suspect illegal activity:)
2. In case your ISP provides a dynamic IP, it will change automatically over night or after reconnection or if you request through your Wi-Fi router's web interface
Pros:
+requires no additional software
+does not slow down internet speed
+works temporarily
+free
Cons:
not detected
3. You can setup proxy at system level. Use web search to find out how to set proxy for Windows/Linux/Mac/other system.
Pros:
+requires no additional software
Cons:
-reliable anonymous proxy will cost some $
-may slow down internet speed
-you may forget to turn it on
-possible disconnections
4. You can setup proxy just for SHK game window. On the login window click the sign with connection info and make use of our Advanced Login Options to enter your proxy
Pros:

+you can save your setup at Advanced Login Options
+applicable for multi-accounting
+does not slow down internet speed for other programs
+free
Cons:
-reliable anonymous proxy will cost some $
-you may forget to turn it on

5. Use VPN
Pros:

-will slow down the internet speed

-VPN (especially if it's free) may give the same IP too all their users. So you and all other SHK players with using this VPN program may get the same IP address and be considered a multi-accounter

Dear subscribers,
Admins of the game can see Your Mac and IP addresses. If you don't know what it is, in simple words:
MAC address - unique identifier of computer/laptop/smartphone as a piece of equipment.
IP address - unique identifier of computer/laptop/smartphone as an internet user.
Please search in web for better understanding:)
How these 2 parameters allow to identify You:
1) If you log into multiple accounts from the same computer/laptop/smartphone, then they all get same MAC address - You can get banned. VPN and proxies do not change the MAC address.
2) If you log into multiple accounts from the different computers, but they are all connected to the same WiFi router, then they all have same IP address - You can get banned. In this case a VPN for each computer works OK
What to do if You only have 1 computer/laptop:
1) Use free program VMware Workstation Pro Player, to create multiple virtual computers in Your real computer.
(let each virtual computer have at least 1 CPU core, 1Gb RAM and 10-20Gb on the harddrive)
2) Use "Bridged Adapter" option to connected them to the internet (only this option gives a virtual computer it's own MAC address).
3) For each virtual computer install Windows XP, some VPN (for example, Psiphon3 or HotSpotShield) and the game itself.
4) Use each virtual computer to log into 1 game account only.
What else You should know:
1) All of this is true for all games.
2) Sandboxie doesn't change neither the MAC address, nor the IP address, and the Bot already allows to run multiple game windows.
3) It's not important where did You register the game account: on the official website, at Steam or you login via Facebook.

Please keep in mind that some of our features have certain requirements to work properly: Scouting and Predator: World map should be open (green circle in top right corner must update) Radar: only attacks that make swords icon flash are reported. If you switch to attacks screen in game, notifications and auto interdict will not happen Radar: default emails (from shkdemoplayer) have a limitation of 60 emails/hour. We advice to switch off this feature during intense activities Castle and Predator: Presets saved in Cloud are only automatically loaded only after you navigate to Castle or Predator tab All of these are a subject of improvement and we're working on it. It now has "Launcher" tab that should restart your game if it crashes. It can also notify you about game getting crashed.
