Hello everyone!
New world will be available tomorrow - Thursday 28th September
The world starts with ~40.000 AI castles placed just like in the first Stronghold Campaign
Rat's faction will occupy House 2 and wear orange colour
Snake's faction will occupy House 3 and wear yellow colour
Pig's faction will occupy House 1 and wear red colour
Wolf's faction will occupy House 10 and wear black colour
Players will start in the Cornwall county similarly to campaign scenario.
Ireland and Scotland were not present in the campaign map. These counties will have no charters and spawn no flags.
Players should purge AI in the same sequence as in the campaign for full synchronisation. This will trigger the events present in the campaign - automatic liberation of certain Snake, Pig and Wolf counties in the last episodes.
Important: this world uses different engine so don't hesitate to report problems.

We have many questions, suggestions and plans for these projects, but limited capabilities due to the situation.
Our team is still in a warring country (Ukraine), the work is slowed down by air raid alerts, electricity shutdowns and internet disconnections.

1. shk bot
Bot for official shk is being tested at private AI world first.
This way we reduce risk for our players.
If you wish to speed up this process, please come to this world to help testing the bot here.
Right now we have an improvement for Donate tab in test
2. Combat Simulator with Castle Designer
It simulates the battle to know the result without spending troops.
It allows to simulate timed attacks, use all castle cards, specify troops research levels and test against standard AI castles.
We have fixed all errors to get 100% precise simulation.
You can save castle design and attack formation.
This is currently a free feature.
It's offered inside of our custom game client that connects to our private AI world.
You need to create an account and download the custom game client to use Simulator.
3. Village Designer
It allows to create village layout for any village type.
Buildings can be placed instantly and for free. Researches are not needed.
You can save resulting layout, share it with others or download the layouts we already have.
This is currently a free feature.
It's offered inside of our custom game client that connects to our private AI world.
You need to create an account and download the custom game client to use Simulator.
4. Private AI game world
It's our fan made game world with Island Warfare map.
It's not related to game worlds provided by firefly.
We code it ourselves and it has many features not present in classic shk, such as pillaging of AI, capture AI village with buildings, AI excomm/absolution, guild levels of 7th age give bonus after deletion.
It's missing some standard features like Quests, but we'll add them too.
The world doesn't end untill all players decide to restart and choose new map.
Our database is not connected to firefly, you will need to create a new account.
Collected cards and card packs will not appear in classic shk.
We have no intention to steal players from firefly. Our team consists mostly from players that already left firefly servers.

We worked in a ukrainian city occupied by russian troops during last 8,5 months.
2 weeks ago it was successfully liberated by Ukrainian army.
All infrastructure has been destroyed by russians upon their retreat.
There was no electricity, no water, no heating, no internet or mobile network. We kept working with You thanks to Starlink stations and generators
Now we're finally back to work in regular mode.

Our Private Server has unlocked more features related to Vassals.
The following features are enabled:
- new Send attack from vassal
- new Cancel attack sent from vassal
- new Vassals Overview and Manage Vassal's Troops screens will consider the attacking troops as well
- new Capture of liege lord's village makes you the owner of the attacking vassal army
- new Raze or Capture of vassal village stops the outgoing troops
- new Breaking of vassalage also stops the outgoing troops
Bugs are fixed:
- new In specific scenerios the Reinforcements were removed from the castle when an attack is launched
- new In specific scenerios the defender received "Village lost" report although the attacker couldn't Capture more villages

Note 3: If You try to rank up to the same rank as your liege lord, you will get a warning message that requires to break vassalage first.
Note 4: Sending troops to the vassal and honour bonus will be added later as separate updates.

Past 72 hours our Ukrainian crew has been in great danger from Russian invasion. They had heavy artillery fire. Russian soldiers shoot civil people. Their rockets hit civil buildings, not just military. They destroy schools with children inside!
Our Ukrainian programmers have got 1 hour of silence to patch new game version for you.
They slept only 3 hours. They ate nothing due to stress. They helped to establish shelters for regular citizens.

A better solution would to get a good anti-virus software and disable Windows Defender completely

Dear players,
it is common that Windows Defender deletes the newly downloaded "StrongholdKingdoms.exe" and a game fails to start.
Long-term solution is to use a custom anti-virus program that allows to add this file to exceptions.
Short-term solution is to download an installation package from download page and run installation to get new "StrongholdKingdoms.exe"

In case if situation with Windows Defender repeats and your StrongholdKingdoms.exe gets deleted, you may now run our updater.exe to redownload the exe file.
Location in Windows 10 is:
c:\ProgramData\Firefly Studios\Stronghold Kingdoms\2.0.37.4\updater.exe
You would still need to add the file to "white list" of Windows Defender:

Dear subscribers,
in this guide I will tell you about all the ways to change your MAC address in case You got banned for any reason.
MAC - media access control. It is a unique code of your device (computer/laptop/smartphone/wi-fi router etc).
This code is sent to SHK server when you press "Login" button on the login screen.
If it matches for 2 accounts - they can be considered an alt accounts of the same person and get banned.
There are several ways to change them:
1. Buy another computer/laptop
Pros:
+works permanently
+no additional software as new device will have it's own MAC address
Cons:
-very expensive
-requires to transport all your files and settings to a new computer
-doesn't work for multiple accounts as you will need a separate computer for every SHK account
2. Create virtual computers using VMware Workstation or other software
Pros:
+it's free
+works for multiple accounts
Cons:
-requires to install and study that software
-requires to have sufficient amount of memory in your phisical computer
3. Change MAC address of your computer using 3rd party software
Pros:
+it's free
Cons:
-not handy for multiple accounts because You will have to remember to change the MAC before every login
-requires to search and install 3rd part software (and learn how it works)
-your may accidently forget to run that software before logging in and thus expose your account once and for all
4. Use Advanced Login Options of the Bot
Pros:
+it's free
+works for multiple accounts
+doesn't require to search and install 3rd part software
Cons:

All these methods work, but as you can see - the amount of hussle is very different.

in this guide I will tell you about all the ways to change your IP address in case You got banned for any reason:
1. Call Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) and ask to change the IP address.
Pros:
+requires no additional software
+does not slow down internet speed
+works permanently
+should be free
+best option if you always play with only 1 account
Cons:
-can't be used too often as ISP support will get annoyed or even suspect illegal activity:)
2. In case your ISP provides a dynamic IP, it will change automatically over night or after reconnection or if you request through your Wi-Fi router's web interface

3. You can setup proxy at system level. Use web search to find out how to set proxy for Windows/Linux/Mac/other system.

4. You can setup proxy just for SHK game window. On the login window click the sign with connection info and make use of our Advanced Login Options to enter your proxy

Admins of the game can see Your Mac and IP addresses. If you don't know what it is, in simple words:
MAC address - unique identifier of computer/laptop/smartphone as a piece of equipment.
IP address - unique identifier of computer/laptop/smartphone as an internet user.
Please search in web for better understanding:)
How these 2 parameters allow to identify You:
1) If you log into multiple accounts from the same computer/laptop/smartphone, then they all get same MAC address - You can get banned. VPN and proxies do not change the MAC address.
2) If you log into multiple accounts from the different computers, but they are all connected to the same WiFi router, then they all have same IP address - You can get banned. In this case a VPN for each computer works OK
What to do if You only have 1 computer/laptop:
1) Use free program VMware Workstation Pro Player, to create multiple virtual computers in Your real computer.
(let each virtual computer have at least 1 CPU core, 1Gb RAM and 10-20Gb on the harddrive)
2) Use "Bridged Adapter" option to connected them to the internet (only this option gives a virtual computer it's own MAC address).
3) For each virtual computer install Windows XP, some VPN (for example, Psiphon3 or HotSpotShield) and the game itself.
4) Use each virtual computer to log into 1 game account only.
What else You should know:
1) All of this is true for all games.
2) Sandboxie doesn't change neither the MAC address, nor the IP address, and the Bot already allows to run multiple game windows.
3) It's not important where did You register the game account: on the official website, at Steam or you login via Facebook.

Please keep in mind that some of our features have certain requirements to work properly: Scouting and Predator: World map should be open (green circle in top right corner must update) Radar: only attacks that make swords icon flash are reported. If you switch to attacks screen in game, notifications and auto interdict will not happen Radar: default emails (from shkdemoplayer) have a limitation of 60 emails/hour. We advice to switch off this feature during intense activities Castle and Predator: Presets saved in Cloud are only automatically loaded only after you navigate to Castle or Predator tab All of these are a subject of improvement and we're working on it. It now has "Launcher" tab that should restart your game if it crashes. It can also notify you about game getting crashed.
Also we remind to cleanup browser cache as shkbot.com link is no longer used!
